Your privacy and security are important. Metacollector.io ("Metacollector") takes the privacy and security of your data very seriously. Our application, collectively or individually, is referred to as "Metacollector Services," "Metacollector," "Service," or "Services." The "content" is understood as anything that adds to the service and something we can provide to you.
We are a service designed to help our users maintain control and record of any collectibles they may have in their lives. Your data is 100% yours. You own it. You added it. You control it. Period. We cannot be clearer in stating that your data is not available or disclosed or used in any way, except to provide you with this Service and ensure that the Service functions as expected.
This means a few things:
1. We must "use" the data to store it and back it up for you. Therefore, it is used to transmit and store it.
2. Secondly, to store and back it up, we need to know your IP address. With the IP address, we also collect what type of device you have.
3. Thirdly, we are here for you, our users, and we do not sell advertising within our Service nor collect your data for any other purpose than your needs and to improve our product. We use this data to determine how you are using our Service and aggregate non-personally identifiable data to improve the Service for you. An example of how and why we use this information is that if you (or others) create custom schemes or categories of similar items, we can use that information to create new features within our Service.
If an issue arises that requires our support or feedback, it may be necessary to access your data to assist you or respond appropriately to your problem or for analysis by our team. Your data is stored on your local device and, for a period of time, is backed up on a cloud server to ensure that there is a copy in case you lose your device.
When you register with Google or Apple, or use an email address to register, we receive identifiable information such as your email address, and with certain services, we also receive your name. We also collect information if you request assistance from us or if you need us to respond to your questions.
From time to time, we may send you information about Metacollector that we believe is important and relevant to enhance your experience. By opening or maintaining an account with Metacollector, you agree to receive emails as part of the basic service. Additionally, if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, you will receive periodic updates about new products, featured collections, and exclusive offers. You can always opt out of non-administrative emails and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the button available on the website
We will never share personally identifiable information under these circumstances:
1. If you subscribe to a service we offer and state that it is okay to do so.
2. If we believe we must do so to comply with applicable law or legal requirements.
3. If, on YOUR BEHALF, we or our partner need to hire an external service provider to provide you services (for example, with a credit card processing company) if you decide to purchase something or register something on the site.
As a U.S. incorporated entity, we will resist any legal request for access to any information and agree to be completely transparent regarding requests and to do so publicly by indicating the number of requests made and the number of requests successfully completed.
Our service uses Droplets to store all content data. We are committed to protecting the security of your information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures designed to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Even with this technology, it is impossible to eliminate all potential security risks associated with information accessible over the Internet. In this regard, you agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless in the event of any security breach or disclosure of your data.
We have made it easy for you to delete your account from the "Account" menu option. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. However, backups of your content remain on our servers until those backups are deleted, but you will not be able to access this data to restart the Service.
Metacollector uses cookies (which are small pieces of information about your activities on the Internet) to know when you use the site. We use cookies to identify our users, provide automatic login, and personalize your experience with Metacollector. If you disable cookies with your web browser, the site may not function properly, and in some cases, you may not be able to log in at all. There are many other third-party services and websites that may place cookies in your browser. Our privacy policy only covers our use of Metacollector cookies, not cookies used by third parties.
You acknowledge and agree that the software and business operations of Metacollector are located in the United States and that our operations use servers located in the United States, but our computer servers based in the United States may also store data replicated in other parts of the world to ensure the most reliable and efficient service worldwide. Therefore, no matter where you live, your content is transferred and stored in the United States but may extend to other countries.
Metacollector reserves the right to update, modify, or replace its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service at any time and without prior notice. Updated versions will be considered effective and applicable from the moment of their publication on the official Metacollector website, and it is the user's responsibility to review them periodically to stay informed about possible changes. By continuing to use Metacollector services after the update, the user agrees and commits to comply with the revised terms. In case of discrepancy, the most recently published version on the website will prevail over any previous version.
Metacollector.io appreciates the assistance of the security community. We especially appreciate help in finding vulnerabilities, so if you are a security specialist and find a vulnerability, please notify us immediately at support@metacollector.io. However, please note that while conducting your research, you must not destroy or damage Metacollector, impair the performance of our services, or violate the privacy of our users, their accounts, and their data. As long as you work within the limits of these rules and our policies, we appreciate your help. We will send you a token of our appreciation with a cool t-shirt featuring our logo that indicates how smart you are.
